Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Thursday with a total of 20.063 steps. While the lowest day was Tuesday with a total of 15,652 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 118,780 steps. Giving me an average of 16,968 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 1,626,697 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 14 of 2018, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 110,400 steps with an average of 15,771 steps per day. The highest day was 17,806 and the lowest day was 15,019. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 14, 2018.
Other Thoughts
Towards the end of last week, my frustrations with the Fitness Tracker that I had been using came to no longer workable. The fitness tracker I was using was the Garmin Vivofit 4. Rather than just dropping data like I have talked about in the past, it had a problem where it would randomly reset. Initially, I thought it was a battery problem, as it was nearly a year old, so I changed the battery. However, the problem only got worse.
I had seen a good advertised price for the Fitbit Alta HR and decided to just buy a new tracker. In saying that this gave me the opportunity to arrange a replacement for the Garmin Vivofit 4 as well. So now I do have a spare, but I have a new tracker to keep counting the steps as well.
