Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Tuesday with a total of 19,133 steps. While the lowest day was Wednesday with a total of 13,983 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 116,586 steps. Giving me an average of 16,655 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 2,701,057 steps for the year to date.

Other Thoughts

I am not sure if you noticed it but my goal each day changed on Thursday. I have decided that moving forward I am going to aim to make 15,000 steps each and every day. At the moment I am going to see if I can make that each and every day for a month.

I know that this is quite a jump almost half as much again on the goal. But I have been reading a little about the results some people have had from the extra walking and it is positive.

But you might also be thinking how will I achieve this when I have been missing 10,000 steps some days in the past couple of months. The main thing I am thinking about is that I am setting this as a specific medium-term goal. When I just look at any individual day, it is easier to shrug it off and miss sometimes. But when you are attempting to push for a streak I think there is much more chance of succeeding.

So at the moment, I would be looking at a streak of 22 days with my current 10,000 step goal. However, I am going to reset that starting from Thursday with the new goal for 15,000 steps. Which puts me at a current streak of 4 days.
