Walking Update – Week 8, 2016

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Sunday with a total of 18,439 steps. While the lowest day was Friday with a total of 15,334 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 115,163 steps. Giving me an average of 16,451 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 1,059,471 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 8 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 87,045 steps with an average of 12,435 steps per day. The highest day was 15,236 and the lowest day was 10,250. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 8, 2015.
Other Thoughts
This week I have reached the first milestone for 2016 and that is passing the 1 million step mark. At this rate, it looks like I should comfortably be able to make it to 6 million steps. Of course, though I do not want to be too preemptive, that is still my goal, but do not want to call it before it happens.
Additionally, the streak of walking 15,000 steps per day is still going well and has made it to 221 days in a row.
