Walking Update – Week 7, 2016
Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 7 of 2016. The update covers the dates Monday 15th of February to Sunday 21st of February.

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Tuesday with a total of 20,456 steps. While the lowest day was Wednesday with a total of 16,576 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 132,029 steps. Giving me an average of 18,861 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 944,308 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 7 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 100,155 steps with an average of 14,307 steps per day. The highest day was 19,360 and the lowest day was 11,024. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 7, 2015.
Other Thoughts
One number I have not been including in the look back to last year is the year to date total. Mostly I have not been including it because I don’t want to much to have to compare each week. However, I noticed it in my spreadsheet when writing this up and noticed there is already a significant gap between last year and this year.
In week 7 last year I had 666,490 steps for the year, while this year I am at 944,308. That is almost 280,000 more than this time last year. While I know that my goal is higher, that is a rather significant difference.
My 15,000 steps per day streak is also still going well and I have now reached 214 days in a row.
