Walking Update – Week 4, 2016
Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 4 of 2016. The update covers the dates Monday 25th of January to Sunday 31st of January.

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Thursday with a total of 19,896 steps. While the lowest day was Tuesday with a total of 15,088 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 118,391 steps. Giving me an average of 16,913 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 559,889 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 4 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 112,079 steps with an average of 16,011 steps per day. The highest day was 20312 and the lowest day was 10,226. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 4, 2015.
Other Thoughts
The end of week 4 also brings us to the end of January. For January it is easy to see how many steps I have walked with the alignment of the end of the week and the end of the month. However, in future months I will be looking to give you a tally for the month when it ends.
So the total steps for January is 559,889 which gives me a daily average across the month of 18,061 steps per day. If I was able to maintain that every month I am well on the way of achieving my goal for the year of 6 million steps.
Finally, the streak is still going and I have reached 193 days, walking 15,000 steps per day.
