Walking Update – Week 27, 2016

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Sunday with a total of 20,344 steps. While the lowest day was Monday with a total of 15,776 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 123,544 steps. Giving me an average of 17,649 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 3,413,088 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 27 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 90,797 steps with an average of 12,971 steps per day. The highest day was 24,662 and the lowest day was 6,456. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 27, 2015.
Other Thoughts
It was the end of week 27 last year when I finally broke my spell of just not being able to get started with a streak. I had gone 8 weeks in a row where I missed my step goal at least one day. But finally, from that first day this week a year ago, I managed to keep moving in a positive direction forward.
That streak which started a year ago was just slightly ahead of the streak I am currently working on now. But I did restart the count when I changed my goal. So now I am up to 354 days in a row walking 15,000 steps or more.
