Walking Update – Week 31, 2016

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Tuesday with a total of 19,465 steps. While the lowest day was Sunday with a total of 15,887 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 120,635 steps. Giving me an average of 17,233 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 3,903,783 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 31 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 117,822 steps with an average of 16,831 steps per day. The highest day was 22,374 and the lowest day was 15,173. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 31, 2015.
Other Thoughts
Week 31 is the first week that I can kind of truly compare from last year to this year. Because it is the first full week where I was working towards the same 15,000 step goal. I walked around 2800 steps more this year than last year. However, except for the one high day last year, the overall daily steps were lower. I am not sure which I prefer more having one big day per week or getting a more even spread throughout the week.
I still have the streak moving along nicely and this week I make it to 382 days in a row with 15,000 steps or more.
