Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Monday with a total of 22,121 steps. While the lowest day was Sunday with a total of 15,624 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 124,282 steps. Giving me an average of 17,754 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 5,849,945 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 47 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 127,579 steps with an average of 18,225 steps per day. The highest day was 23,387 and the lowest day was 15,284. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 47, 2015.
Other Thoughts
Last year at this point I was quite a bit behind where I am this year in way of steps for the whole year. Right now this year I am at 5.85 million, whereas last year I was at 4.89 million. That is almost 1 million steps different, a lot of which can be put down to the lower goal earlier in the year. Along with the fact that early in the year there were a number of days that I did not even make the goal. So that kind of shows a little how having a goal and sticking to it (as much as possible anyway) can make a big difference.
The 15,000 steps per day streak is still on the move and this week reaches 78 days in a row.
