Walking Update – Week 7, 2017
Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 7 of 2017. The update covers the dates Monday 13th of February to Sunday 19th of February.

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Sunday with a total of 22,160 steps. While the lowest day was Saturday with a total of 15,105 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 118,755 steps. Giving me an average of 16,965 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 863,358 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 7 of 2016, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 132,029 steps with an average of 18,861 steps per day. The highest day was 20,456 and the lowest day was 16,576. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 7, 2016.
Other Thoughts
Just like the most steps in a day which I talked about a few weeks ago, there is another number that I keep in my mind. That number is the most steps I have walked in a single month. At the moment that record is held by the same month when I walked the most steps in a day, October 2015. In October 2015 I walked a total of 602,989 steps. It is the only month so far that I have passed 600,000 steps. It is not an easy number to reach either I don’t think, as it means averaging 20,000 steps per day in a 30 day month or 19,374 in a 31 day month. At some point in the future, I may consider seeing if I can break that record, or maybe it will just happen one day.
My streak is still going this week and reaches 162 days in a row walking 15,000 steps.
