Walking Update – Week 22, 2017

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Friday with a total of 22,249 steps. While the lowest day was Wednesday with a total of 15,549 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 122,854 steps. Giving me an average of 17,550 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 2,695,113 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 22 of 2016, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 123,942 steps with an average of 17,706 steps per day. The highest day was 22,033 and the lowest day was 15,463. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 22, 2016.
Other Thoughts
With Wednesday we are coming to the end of May and that means it is time for a few more numbers. The month of May saw me walk a total of 565,593 steps with an average of 18,245 steps per day. The highest day for steps was the 12th of May when I walked 25,392 steps in total. While the lowest day for the month was the 21st of May with 15,027 steps.
The average steps per day in may is the sort of thing I need to achieve the 6.5 million step goal for the year. I do need to do a little catch up though from a few months that fell short so far.
The streak is still going well and I am now up to 267 days in a row walking 15,000 steps a day.
