Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Thursday with a total of 18,401 steps. While the lowest day was Monday with a total of 15,154 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 115,129 steps. Giving me an average of 16,447 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 4,569,851 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 38 of 2016, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 119,555 steps with an average of 17,079 steps per day. The highest day was 20,930 and the lowest day was 15,361. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 38, 2016.
Other Thoughts
On Tuesday this week, I headed into Brisbane City, Queensland and because parking can be a problem found a better spot to park and walk into the city. The area that I choose to PArk is known as Kangaroo Point. Parking here involves a walk along the edge of the Brisbane River, to either cross via a walking bridge in one direction or the free cross-river ferry in the other direction. Below is a photo of the Brisbane City Skyline that I capture while walking to the ferry.
I am back into the swing of working towards my 400-day streak of walking 15,000 steps per day and have reached 14 days now.
