Walking Thoughts for October
In the past, I have just shared a weekly and yearly update for my steps. It had not occurred to me until now that maybe a monthly look might be interesting. It gives a wider spread of days to compare steps across.
I was just including the few extra monthly numbers in whichever weekly update the end of the month arrived in. But I thought it might be nice to separate it out a little bit. So if you have any thoughts about that, it would be nice to hear them in the comments.
Throughout October, it has felt somewhat challenging to get the steps. However, more towards the end of the month, I have been pushing myself a little more. That is because, as I recently mentioned, I am approaching a milestone of 30 million recorded steps soon.
Another thing that I would like to see happen soon is to exceed some of my previous records. They were all achieved exactly four years ago in October 2015, the highest day, week, and month. I was quite a long way off the highest of any records.
It would be crazy to try for the highest month on anything but a 31-day month, as it means a higher daily average required. So December or January might be the best option. I think if I get the month, the other two might naturally happen. But that is not a guarantee.
