Walking Update – Week 17, 2018
Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 17 of 2018. The update covers the dates Monday 23rd of April to Sunday 29th of April.

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Saturday with a total of 21,571 steps. While the lowest day was Tuesday with a total of 15,380 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 120,420 steps. Giving me an average of 17,202 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 1,944,345 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 17 of 2017, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 123,538 steps with an average of 17,648 steps per day. The highest day was 20,149 and the lowest day was 15,534. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 17, 2017.
Other Thoughts
One thing that I tend to prefer with walking through the week is to try and keep it consistent. I would much prefer to see all 7 days be within a 2,000 steps window. Rather than some at 15,000 and some in the 20,000’s and other in the middle. But of course, that is possibly the most difficult thing to achieve. While you can take steps to manage your walking through the day, there are things that come up which mean you end up walking a lot more than expected.
The streak is going well still and this week reaches 231 days in a row, of walking 15,000 steps or more.
