Walking Update – Week 14, 2018

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Friday with a total of 17,806 steps. While the lowest day was Sunday with a total of 15,019 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 110,400 steps. Giving me an average of 15,771 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 1,593,910 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 14 of 2017, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 135,753 steps with an average of 19,393 steps per day. The highest day was 22,768 and the lowest day was 15,387. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 14, 2017.
Other Thoughts
With week 14 I thought I might compare the current year to date steps between this year and last year. At the moment I finish this week with 1,593,910 steps for 2018. Last year at the end of week 14 I had a total of 1,703,075.
Taking a look at those two numbers it does not pose well for my goal this year. I was aiming to try and walk 6.5 million steps again, after missing that goal last year. However, currently being 110,000 steps behind last year leaves me a fair bit of work to do. Not only to catch up but to get to the goal as well.
Thankfully the streak is a little less pressure, all I need to do is keep walking over 15,000 steps a day. Currently I am at 210 days in a row.
