Walking Update – Week 51, 2018

Following you will find an update on my walking statistics for week 51 of 2018. The update covers the dates Monday 17th of December to Sunday 23rd of December.

Stepping Numbers

I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.

First up is the highest day for the week which was Wednesday with a total of 21,441 steps. While the lowest day was Friday with a total of 12,185 steps.

I hit my daily step goal a total of 6 times this week and walked a total of 115,757 steps. Giving me an average of 16,536 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 6,057,138 steps for the year to date.

This Time Last Year

Looking back to Week 51 of 2017, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 115,597 steps with an average of 16,513 steps per day. The highest day was 18,491 and the lowest day was 15,159. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 51, 2017.

Other Thoughts

There is definitely some good and bad news this week. Of course, I am going to lead with the good, which is the milestone of 6 million steps. With just a few days to go in the year, there is no chance that I will be anywhere near 6.5 million. But I may be able to pass last years result, it just depends how the last week turns out.

On the other hand, there is some bad news that I have missed my 15,000 daily goals one day. Not just a little by a significant amount. However, in saying that it was another three day period where I had trouble with the fitness tracker. On Friday I had no data at all, and when I looked back to the phone all that was tracked was the 12,185. I thought my fitness tracker showed that I passed the 15,000 but maybe I did not carry my phone with me all day. Such is life though and that is the daily steps as recorded.
