Walking Update – Week 16, 2016

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Sunday with a total of 19,224 steps. While the lowest day was Monday with a total of 15,795 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 124,423 steps. Giving me an average of 17,774 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 2,064,562 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 16 of 2015, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 103,908 steps with an average of 14,844 steps per day. The highest day was 21,320 and the lowest day was 8,023. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 16, 2015.
Other Thoughts
Here we are crossing the second mini-milestone for the year with reaching 2 million steps. That puts me on a good track of about 1 million steps every eight weeks. Which if that is maintained I should have no problem with my goal to walk 6 million steps this year. But of course, no celebrating before reaching the goal.
The streak for my daily goal of walking 15,000 steps a day is still going as well and is now up to 277 days in a row.
