Walking Update – Week 28, 2017

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Saturday with a total of 20,813 steps. While the lowest day was Thursday with a total of 15,288 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 124,893 steps. Giving me an average of 17,841 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 3,401,553 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 28 of 2016, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 118,550 steps with an average of 16,935 steps per day. The highest day was 20,567 and the lowest day was 15,110. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 28, 2016.
Other Thoughts
I thought I would take a little time this week to compare just where I am up to against last years position at this time. So the week ended with me at 3,401,553 steps for the year to date. While at the same time last year I was 3,531,638. That puts me about 130,000 steps behind last year, so since I last compared I have lost a little ground still, but it is definitely less than the previous time I compared. Being over halfway through the year and still moving further behind where I was at this time last year does not look good for achieving my 6.5 million step goal for the year.
The streak still keeps on rolling and now reaches 309 days in a row, walking 15,000 steps a day.
