Walking Update – Week 17, 2017

Stepping Numbers
I am a bit of a numbers geek at times, so of course, I like to look a little closer at some of the numbers behind the individual days.
First up is the highest day for the week which was Thursday with a total of 20,149 steps. While the lowest day was Wednesday with a total of 15,534 steps.
I hit my daily step goal a total of 7 times this week and walked a total of 123,538 steps. Giving me an average of 17,648 steps per day across the week. With my steps this week that gives me 2,056,637 steps for the year to date.
This Time Last Year
Looking back to Week 17 of 2016, following are some of the step numbers for comparison. I walked a total of 123,553 steps with an average of 17,650 steps per day. The highest day was 19,955 and the lowest day was 16,474. To read more check out Walking Update – Week 17, 2016.
Other Thoughts
The end of the week also brings with it the end of April. So there are some more numbers for that to come. But you might have also noticed something else up there. This week I achieved the second milestone for the year of 2 million steps.
In April I walked a total of 522,222 steps, a nice round number. The average steps that I walked per day come to 17,407. The highest day for walking was the 7th of April with 22,768 steps. While the lowest day was the 11th of April with 15,017 steps. Not a bad month, but I might need to improve some of the numbers in the coming months if I am to achieve my 6.5 million step goal.
